Perplexity research adds conditions for a proposed integration
The new research proposes studying Perplexity’s publisher rewards while requiring negotiated permission for any search partnership. It records no established account, API integration, partnership or training permission.
Conditional integration
The research advises against using hosted services as an unrestricted foundation or training teacher. It proposes written permission covering competitive products, intended training uses and downstream obligations.
Contributor data protections
The proposed Search rule blocks confidential manuscripts, unpublished inventions and personal data unless a negotiated agreement protects their use. The research calls for endpoint-specific retention and deletion checks.
Proposed contribution rewards
The research treats publisher compensation as a precedent, without establishing verified payouts or a rewards service available to SIP. The proposed SIP design ties rewards to permissions, contribution evidence and agreed shares.
Model ancestry checks
The research proposes excluding Perplexity’s embedding family under the project’s no-Qwen condition because it identifies Qwen3 ancestry. It retains the proposed Nemotron 3 Ultra target and records its unresolved ancestry conflict.
Research index
The README now lists the Perplexity research covering competing-product restrictions, Search data terms, publisher rewards, embedding ancestry and a proposed conditional integration.
